Our privacy commitment
OptMyTool provides browser-based utilities designed to process your text and files locally. We do not require an account, and the core tools do not upload your inputs to our servers.
Information you provide to tools
Text, images, PDFs, code, and other files you provide to a tool are processed in your browser using client-side JavaScript and browser APIs. Unless a tool explicitly says otherwise, this information is not transmitted to, stored by, or accessible to OptMyTool.
Resume / CV Builder
Resume details, job descriptions, optional profile photos, and files you select to import are processed locally in your browser. PDF, DOCX, and TXT resume imports use in-browser text extraction; LinkedIn profile PDFs are not sent to LinkedIn or OptMyTool, and the builder never asks for LinkedIn credentials. Imported text and layouts may be incomplete and should be reviewed. The builder does not save your draft automatically. If you choose to export a JSON backup, it includes your selected photo when present; printing or saving as PDF uses your browser. These files are saved wherever you choose on your device. Clear the builder or close the tab to remove the in-memory draft.
Screen Recorder
The Screen Recorder uses your browser’s screen-capture and media-recording features. Your browser asks you to choose a screen, window, or tab; shared system or tab audio is captured only when the browser and selected source provide it. Browser-based meeting audio may require choosing the meeting tab and enabling the browser’s tab-audio sharing option. The browser separately asks for microphone permission if you enable that option. Captured audio and video are encoded and kept in your browser session until you download or discard the recording; they are not uploaded to OptMyTool. Your browser and operating system may display their own screen-sharing indicators and controls.
AI Background Remover downloads
The AI Background Remover downloads its model from Hugging Face and its browser inference runtime from jsDelivr when needed. These providers receive ordinary network request information, such as your IP address, when your browser fetches those files. The image you select is processed on your device and is not sent with those requests. The downloaded files may be cached by your browser.
Local browser storage
Some site preferences, such as your selected theme and whether you have dismissed the optional bookmark reminder, may be stored locally in your browser. This information is used to remember your preferences and is not a copy of the content you process with a tool.
Hosting, analytics, and links
Our website may be hosted by a third-party infrastructure provider and may include standard technical logs needed to deliver and protect the service. Third-party websites, links, or services have their own privacy policies. Review those policies before sharing information with them.
Children’s privacy
OptMyTool is a general-purpose utility website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised date.
